Fallen member Notification – Firefighter Jordan Melton
Peace and Blessings All,
It is with great sorrow that I am notifying of the passing of Firefighter Jordan Melton, one of two Birmingham Firefighters shot last week at a fire station in the city’s Norwood community. Jordan had served at Birmingham Fire and Rescue for more than a year, he had just graduated from the recruit academy one month ago. Firefighter Jamal Jones also was shot and is recovering. However, Jones has suffered severe injuries because of the incident. I am providing the following information to support our Chapter in Birmingham, AL. President Harold Washington (Birmingham Professional Firefighters Association) has provided the following information:

Founding member of Brothers United of Chattanooga, Southeast (SER) Past Regional Director, Family member, good friend, and coach. He was a member of the first Graduating class of EDI and he lead the logistics team for EDI for over 25 years. Please keep the family and friends in your prayers!
