Brother Cocroft was appointed to the City of Milwaukee Board of Fire and Police Commissioners in January, 2019 and his term expires in 2024. Brother Cocroft is a retired City of Milwaukee Fire Lieutenant with over thirty-two (32) years of dedicated service. Brother Cocroft is competent and knowledgeable in all phases of Fire Service Management with specific expertise in recruitment, assessment center training and community engagement. Brother Cocroft has been a member of the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters since 1980, served as President of the Milwaukee Brotherhood of Firefighters, Milwaukee Chapter Treasurer, North Central Region 3rd Vice Director and Corresponding Secretary. Brother Cocroft continues to assist the city of Milwaukee with it’s goal and desire to have a diverse fire department.
