I am born and raised in the Chattanooga Community. I obtained my Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Minor in Biology from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. As the Founder and CEO of Pain Perseverance Character Hope, Inc, I provide a variety of services to high risk youth. After spending 9 years in operations, I became the Fire and Life Safety Educator for the Chattanooga Fire Department. In 2022, I developed and spearheaded the Chattanooga Fire Department’s Read to Succeed Literacy program to enhance literacy in schools and teach students about fire safety and the fire service. I also serve as the Youth Fire-setting Prevention and Intervention Specialist as well as a certified Fire Inspector. I currently serve as the Community Risk Reduction and Community Relations Chair for the International Association of Black Professional Firefighters. I am also a member of the Executive Board for the Local 820, local chapter of the International Association of Fire Fighters. In 2018. I was honored with the “Ralph Cothran Civil Service Firefighter of the Year Award“, by the Chattanooga Hamilton County Branch of the NAACP. I was the 2023 Tennessee Public Fire Educators Association Public Fire Educator of the Year.
